The Hmong are situated close to the Mien also living in many different countries including Laos, China, Thailand and Vietnam and sharing similar traditions of embroidery with the Mien and yet a they are a different culture.
The fabric for this flag is mostly hemp and includes actual embroidery and a printed representation of embroidery. The spectacular choker with star pendants is worn for special celebrations. © 2010
